Described as “a potent cross between the famous ACDC and Early Resin Berry" this flower is a personal favorite.

ACDC was one of the first high CBD flowers that I tried. When I found Elektra on the Blue Ridge site I knew that I had to try it. Fast forward a couple of years and it’s still one of my favorites!

A lot of the same CBD strains can be found through many companies, though more pop up all of the time. I have only purchased CBD flower in stores (while traveling) and from the Blue Ridge Hemp site. After purchasing product from Blue Ridge I have not used any other online companies. That’s not to say that I won’t. But, they have had such great deals, prices, and amazing products and customer service that I haven't needed to shop around. And if you know me, you know I’m always shopping around and looking for a good deal.

Lets get to it-

According to the sites “Cannalysis” (a great break down of all of the information on each strain) Elektra tested as having a 13.21% total CBD, .0579% total THC, 15.84% total cannabinoids , and 1.56% total terpenes. What they say this means- it should offer a feeling of awareness , mellow body sensation, and relaxation. * Please note I am NOT a professional, do not use proper lingo, or know the correct terminology for each of these categories. This is my personal account-

Smell-

The site describes the aroma as citrus with chocolate notes. To me, it has a strong sweet scent reminiscent of citrus with herb-y and almost savory undertones. Perhaps this is the chocolate? Either way, it smells wonderful, crisp, sweet, and mildly savory. It does not have a ”skunky” smell but does smell similar to THC flower

Feel-

The bud is fairly dense and light. Upon first breaking it up felt slightly dry, but once opened was not. I found it nice and sticky, great for rolling.

Taste-

Ok, here is where you’re (really) not going to find scientific or proper terminology. I always smoke a rolled “cigarette” or with a glass pipe. I rolled this one today with Element rice papers , the red box. The flavor is similar to THC flower but more earthy. Most of the CBD I have used is this way. It was a TINY bit harsh on my throat , causing some itchy/ coughing. Which I hate. I know it’s part of the thing. But, I don’t like it and avoid it. Otherwise the smoke was very smooth and tasted mildly sweet, earthy, with hint of that savory flavor you can smell. Chocolate? I don’t know.

Effect-

Unlike THC flower you can use CBD flower without the worry of psychoactive effects, head high, or general impairment. That is not to say it doesn’t have its effects.

While not as strong as THC this strain was very calming to my body and mind. I did not have any real pain issues today (headache, kidney issues, menstrual, muscle, etc) so I will not comment on past experience with pain and the Elektra strain. I almost immediately felt the tension leaving my body. Everything relaxed downward. I find this strain also has the effect of helping to ease my mental tension while allowing me to stay sharp. There was no foggy mind, no effects to my eyes or mouth (dry, red, cotton mouth, etc), and no lethargy. Most noticeable effects lasted around 1.5 hours .

In a handful of words-

Mind and Body Relaxation, Soothing, Mental Awareness, Sweet and Earthy, Chocolate?
